Walking down Brick Lane in East London last Thursday, there was an unusually high number of people wearing Football shirts. Either it was the new trend for the Shoreditch crowd, or ‘Classic Football Shirts’ was in town.
Started by two Manchester University students in 2006, ‘Classic Football Shirts’ (CFS), has grown from a semi-detached house to a multi-million shirt online business.
With a warehouse by the Etihad, CFS sell football shirts, Replica and Match Worn from around the world. No copies. No Fakes.
Following the success of the first ‘Fabric of Football’ exhibition, curated by CFS earlier this year at Manchester’s National Football Museum. Classic Football Shirts decided to show the 500 shirt collection in East London.
Featuring Classic and Match Worn shirts from clubs and national teams around the world, this impressive collection is second to none. From Non-League to Champions League, to World Cups and beyond, this amazing exhibition has it all.
Accompanying the exhibition nearby, was a 'Classic Shirts' Pop-up Store sale, featuring hundreds of shirts from around the world.
Inside the packed out Boutique, it was all sharp elbows and armpits, as a room full of (mainly) men, struggled to get a glimpse of the retro treasures.
Since discovering ‘Classic Football Shirts’ I have finally found my Mecca and life calling. The geek in me has been unleashed. So if CFS has any openings, please consider this an application. I’m your man.
